I work on ecosystem conservation and environmental sustainability, most recently as a DPhil (PhD) student studying nature conservation at the University of Oxford in the School of Geography and the Environment and Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment and as a Research Associate at Earthmind. My research focuses on individuals and families who purchase land for conservation, seeking to understand the drivers, the factors that affect decision making, and the consequences for conservation globally.
I also work as an environmental consultant. I was previously the Sustainability Director for Oklahoma City’s municipal government, where my work included sustainability improvements to internal government operations, such as energy efficiency retrofits to facilities and recycling programs, and community initiatives, such as OKC’s bike share program and improvements to urban design.
