I’m Jennifer Gooden, a conservationist and researcher dividing my time between Oxford and Oklahoma. I am interested in the human dimensions of land conservation: the reasons people become involved in conservation, the factors that influence their decisions, and the consequences for conservation globally.

I recently finished a DPhil (PhD) at Oxford’s School of Geography and the Environment focused on private land conservation, and I conduct research using methods from conservation social science and psychology as a fellow at Earthmind.

I have a background working on environmental and social issues in both NGOs and government, where I have focused on strategic planning, capacity building, and helping organizations more effectively achieve their missions.
